We had great results applying AeroBarrier post-drywall in this accessory dwelling unit in Pasadena. Before AeroBarrier, this 1000 ft² unit had the equivalent of a 628 in² hole of leakage! 44 air changes per hour (ACH) is very leaky, and it shows that drywall does not act as a sufficient air barrier. After AeroBarrier, that leakage was reduced by 99% to 5 in² or 0.39 ACH. The ADU’s future occupants are sure to feel increased comfort from reduced temperature swings.
